Getting started for parents (3 steps)
- Sign up as a parent at kidtual.com/auth with your name, email and password.
- Ask your child for their Student ID (format MK-XXXXXX). They see it on their home screen after signing up.
- Link the child from your parent dashboard. That's it — the dashboard populates in real time as your child explores.

How do parents monitor Kidtual?
Parents create a parent account (email + password), then link their child using the child's unique Student ID (format MK-XXXXXX). From the parent dashboard they can see every topic explored, curiosity level (Novice Explorer → Sherlock Holmes), streaks, badges earned, and any flagged safety content in real time.
What if my child asks something inappropriate?
Kidtual's 6-category safety layer catches critical topics automatically — self-harm, violence, abuse, and other sensitive categories — and can lock the chat, redirect the child to a trusted adult with an emergency-hotline panel, and alert you on your dashboard. The child cannot resume chat until you review it.
Is my child's data private?
Kidtual is currently in Early Access. We use conversations only to provide the service and never sell parent or child data. We don't yet claim COPPA, GDPR, or FERPA compliance — those certifications require legal review that we haven't completed. Please treat Kidtual as an MVP designed for early adopters.
Can I set screen-time limits?
Kidtual doesn't yet ship native screen-time controls. Use your device's built-in screen time (iOS Screen Time / Android Digital Wellbeing / Chromebook Family Link) for now. Native time-limits are on the roadmap.
